New Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has revealed three reasons why he chose to move to Stamford Bridge over the previously-sullied Liverpool team.

 “It was a very exciting time. And I’ve played with a lot of players that we’ve signed. and know how good they are Working with them here is a great feeling.” Lavia added: “First of all, Mauricio Pochettino is a great manager. I think we all know what he’s done before and when I spoke to him, It was pretty clear what he wanted and the direction he wanted the team to take. I was very pleased to hear what he wanted. and his energy matched mine. So I’m really excited to be working with him.”

         Lavia becomes Pochettino’s latest summer signing, following the likes of Christopher Nkuncu, Nicholas Jackson, Robert Sanchez and Caicedo Chel. C drew 1-1 with Liverpool in their Premier League opener. And will make the short trip across London to face West Ham this weekend. Lavia also sent a farewell message to the fans. Southampton after his move from St Mary’s by posting on Instagram: “I immediately felt the love for all of you. “I will never forget the belief that the Club and Saints around the world have in me. And I hope I can repay your faith in me.”
